The Covid-19 pandemic has left a lasting impact on the craft beer and spirits industries. Breweries and distilleries have faced economic hardships over the past four years, with many forced to close.

Just last year, the U.S. beer market took a hit, shrinking by 5.1%, highlighting the challenges brewing within the industry.

A Glimpse of Hope in 2023

Despite the challenges, the beer industry showed some signs of recovery in 2023. The number of operating breweries increased slightly to 9,906 from 9,824 in 2022.
