Donald Trump’s Nephew Says He Will Vote for Kamala Harris
Fred Trump III, son of Donald Trump’s late brother Fred Trump Jr., endorsed his uncle’s opponent during a Tuesday appearance on “The View.”
“I believe in policy over politics. And without question, Kamala Harris’ policies are what I get behind, so I will be voting for Kamala Harris,” he stated.
Harris Acknowledges Endorsement
He further added: “If I’m asked, I will campaign for her without hesitation.”
The Harris campaign acknowledged the endorsement, sharing a clip of it on their social media platforms.
Second Tell-All from the Trump Family
Fred Trump III’s memoir, “All in the Family: The Trumps and How We Got This Way,” was released Tuesday.
This marks the second time a Trump family member has published a revealing book with damaging details about the former president.
Damning Revelations
Mary Trump, Fred’s sister, released “Too Much and Never Enough: How My Family Created the World’s Most Dangerous Man” in 2020.
Excerpts from Fred Trump III’s book, released last week, contain damning anecdotes about the former president, including a claim that he frequently used the N-word while complaining about damage to his Cadillac in the 1970s.
Donald Trump's Views on the Disabled
In another section, he alleged that Donald Trump has disturbingly cold views on disabled people.
Fred Trump III, whose son William has required expensive medical treatment throughout his life, explains in the book that when Trump was elected president in 2016, he saw a chance to advocate for all disabled people in the U.S.
Disturbing Response from Donald Trump
Fred recounts meeting with White House officials before being pulled into the Oval Office to speak with his uncle.
Trump listened, Fred said in the book, before giving a shocking response: “Those people … . The shape they’re in, all the expenses, maybe those kinds of people should just die.”
Financial Strain
Later, when Fred Trump III faced the depletion of a medical fund set up for his son, Eric Trump, who administered the fund, told him to speak to Donald about it.
Fred claims his aunts were reluctant to continue contributions.
Donald Trump's Alleged Remark About Fred Trump III's Son
Once Donald Trump, still president, was updated on the situation, Fred Trump III said he made another odious remark.
“I don’t know,” Trump allegedly said, sighing. “He doesn’t recognize you. Maybe you should just let him die and move down to Florida.”
“Atomic Crazy”
Fred replied that his son did recognize him, adding that he was hurt by the comment.
In another interview promoting the book, Fred Trump III told ABC News that his uncle is “atomic crazy.”
Trump’s Rhetoric and Racism
Fred stopped short of calling the former president a racist.
He stated that Trump “at times espouses things that people who I believe are racist espouse.”
Campaign Denies Allegations
Trump’s campaign has denied the claim that he used the N-word.
“This is completely fabricated and total fake news of the highest order,” a campaign spokesperson told ABC News in a statement. “It is appalling a lie so blatantly disgusting can be printed in media. Anyone who knows President Trump knows he would never use such language, and false stories like this have been thoroughly debunked.”
Unaddressed Allegations
The campaign has not addressed Trump’s alleged views on the disabled.
