UFO Whistleblower’s Request for Protection Is a “Joke,” According to US Congressman 

The former head of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program, Lue Elizondo, has shown remarkable courage in the face of adversity. He claims he’s been threatened for advocating for UFO transparency and worries for his life.

Luis Elizondo is a former U.S. Army counterintelligence special agent who was also employed by the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense to work on intelligence projects.

The AATIP program was reportedly started by the then-Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid back in 2009.

According to the AARO report, “Although investigating UFO/UAP was not specifically outlined in the contract’s statement of work, the selected private sector organization conducted UFO research.”

In an interview with the Washington Post, Elizondo revealed that he and his department provided many briefings, mostly through DOD and intelligence community leadership, to elected officials in Congress about the sightings reported by pilots.

“The bottom line is, up until very recently there were really only three possibilities of what this could be,” Elizondo said. “And the first possibility is that it is some sort of secret US tech that somehow, we have managed to keep secret even from ourselves for a long period of time. The second option is that it is some sort of foreign adversarial technology that has somehow managed to technology leapfrog ahead of our country despite having a fairly robust and comprehensive intelligence apparatus.

Despite his claims, which were backed up by former senator Harry Reid, the U.S. government and Pentagon officials have rapidly denied Elizondo’s claims.

In a statement to the “The Good Trouble Show,” Elizondo said, “I would like to make this perfectly clear to the American people. I am not prone to accidents. I am not suicidal. I am not abusing drugs. I am not engaged in any illicit activities.”

The US Department of Justice offers protection to those who report what they reasonably believe to be evidence of waste, fraud, abuse, or mismanagement. These protection laws have been in place in the US since 1978.

Rep. Tim Burchett, R-Tenn., has played a significant role in the push for better UFO disclosure in the United States and is also a good friend of Elizondo.

According to the congressman, he met with Elizondo shortly after he was threatened. While the whistleblower had no idea who sent the threats, Burchett revealed the comments had angered his friend and left him “alarmed.”

Going forward, Burchett will continue to investigate the threats and admits he will do all he can to ensure his friend remains safe.

The threats aimed at Elizondo are just the latest in a long string of warnings issued to various UFO whistleblowers.

During his testimony in open court, Grusch, a former U.S. intelligence officer and Air Force veteran, said, “I can’t get into the specifics in an open forum, but what I personally witnessed myself and my wife was very disturbing.”

In an interview, Grusch said he “never wanted” to go public with his claims but did so “for the right reasons” to hold the government accountable for their actions.

Despite some people dismissing Grusch’s attempts to force the government to be more transparent, he rebutted stating that “this is not a laughing matter” because the US has a “severe oversight issue.”

After the high-profile whistleblower allegations about planned programs for the retrieval and reverse-engineering of no-human aircraft through private contractors, the Pentagon released a report on unidentified flying objects and unidentified anomalous phenomena that Grusch had disclosed to the public.

While Congress is still considering how to amend the defense bill to force disclosure of potential secret UFO programs, some House Republicans resisted transparency efforts, leading to the removal of the UAP disclosure measure.

Elizondo may have probable cause to believe that his life may be in danger as he attempts to call the US government out for its lack of transparency. Earlier this year, authorities found Boeing whistleblower John Barnett dead in the US.

From 2010 until his retirement in 2017, Barnett uncovered some serious problems with the 787 Dreamliner, a state-of-the-art airliner used mainly on long-haul routes, including with the oxygen systems. During an emergency on the airliner, one in four breathing masks would not work.

After retiring, Barnett embarked on a long-running legal action against the company. He gave a formal deposition a week before his death, during which Boeing’s lawyers questioned him, and his counsel cross-examined him.

In an op-ed for Newsweek, Mary Inman, Amber Scorah, and Jennifer Gibson call for the death toll of whistleblowing to end after Barnett’s mysterious and concerning death.

“We need, as a society, to protect the whistleblower on their journey. We’ve all heard of helplines for domestic abuse or child trafficking; there is no whistleblower helpline, except the “whistleblower hotlines” run by the HR departments of the very companies an employee is trying to expose. In our experience, no one is going to help you on that hotline,” the authors write.

The AARO report finished by suggesting there was no credible evidence of aliens, UFOs or secret government programs to investigate reverse engineering. This portion of the report left many experts and scientists outraged, as they argued it was incomplete.
